Is Golbez Cecil's brother? ›

With his companions, Cecil is able to defeat Cagnazzo but Golbez continues to hunt for the Crystals and Cecil must continue his quest. He ultimately learns that he is the son of a Lunarian, Kluya, and that Golbez is his brother.

Whilst fending off their enemies, a dark memoriate managed to corrupt Golbez, leaving Durante no choice but to seal his friend into a memoria crystal. Taking Golbez's armor and name, he promised them that the people would eventually sing of the hero that shattered the wheel, and brought salvation to the world.

Golbez, called Man in Black before his identity is revealed in The After Years, is a non-player character and the secondary antagonist in Final Fantasy IV and a playable character in Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. In Final Fantasy IV, he is an antagonist, a powerful sorcerer who pursues the Crystals.

Personality. Zemus' influence amplified Golbez's worst traits and made him forget his past. He is a collected, imperturbable, cruel, relentless, arrogant, and scornful dark knight: one to act quickly without bothering for theatrics.

In his tree form, Exdeath's torso and head are visible, but are a darker shade of blue. Below the torso, he shows his true form as a tree, the bark showing a demonic face on the tree's side.

In the original Final Fantasy, Garland was the main antagonist – a powerful dark knight who threatened to plunge the land of Cornelia into chaos. He's a beloved (and iconic!) villain, but outside of some brief dialogue we're never told all that much about him.

Zemus is the main antagonist of Final Fantasy IV. He is a Lunarian who wants his brethren to come out of their long slumber and populate the Earth.

As the main antagonist for FF4, Golbez is a mind-controlled sorcerer who tries to seize powerful crystals and destroy the Earth's people so that the moon's citizens, Lunarians, can live there instead.

Per the height chart, Golbez is 8'2" (growing up in lower gravity might make you taller, but the flipside is weak musculature), Cecil is 6'3" despite officially being 5'10", and Shantotto is 2'7".

He grew to resent Cecil because of Zemus' words and eventually sided with Zemus after being brainwashed. Golbez suffered a great deal before the events of Final Fantasy 4, but it was Zemus' manipulation alone that transformed him into a villain.

Krile Mayer Baldesion is a playable character from Final Fantasy V. She is the granddaughter of Galuf Halm Baldesion and a princess of Bal of Galuf's world.

Golbez's apparent true identity, the swordsman Durante who was Golbez's partner, has a number of similarities to Cecil from FF4 of course, aside from his name. "Durante" meanwhile is believed to have been the real name of Dante, rl ancient writer of the Divine Comedy (see also: tomestones of Comedy).

The main antagonist is Ultimecia, a sorceress from the future who wishes to compress time.

They help Cecil and his friends enter the Giant and after defeating the CPU an angry Golbez appears. Fusoya knocks Golbez back to reality and Cecil learns he is his older brother, Theodor. Fusoya and Golbez head to the Moon to fight Zemus, and Kain rejoins the party.

Cal Palmer is Cecil Palmer's brother in one of the alternate timelines. It's assumed that Cal is the brother mentioned in "Cassette," although there is some discrepancy. Per "Cassette" Cecil's mother and brother go missing sometime when he's 15. However in "Cal," Cal is in Cecil's life well into his adulthood.

Kain is Cecil's childhood friend, adoptive older brother, rival, and fellow knight. He begins as Cecil's stalwart ally through the beginnings of his ordeals but is separated from the Dark Knight as a result of the earthquake Rydia caused.

After receiving a back story on him (including a story of his brother, KluYa, being the father of Cecil... hence FuSoYa is Cecil's uncle), he joins your party. A powerful user in both white and black magic, FuSoYa is an awesome (but temporary) addition to your party.
